Holiday&Spa tourism exhibition opens in Sofia

This year's event focus on hotels, spa centers and complexes, hydrotherapy and eco tourism, cultural and wine tourism, transport organisations, communication technologies, tourist products and equipment, health insurance companies, as well as vacancy properties and golf tourism.

The 25th anniversary edition of the Holiday&Spa fair, organised by Prim Expo in co-operation with the State Agency for Tourism, opened on February 21 2008 in Sofia.

The exhibition, running until February 23, featured more than 300 tour operators and tourist agencies, state and branch organisations, regional and local tourism councils, spa and fitness equipment companies from countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Austria, Macedonia, England, Cyprus, Croatia, Egypt, Thailand and others.

This year's event focus on hotels, spa centers and complexes, hydrotherapy and eco tourism, cultural and wine tourism, transport organisations, communication technologies, tourist products and equipment, health insurance companies, as well as vacancy properties and golf tourism.

The event was accompanied by a round table on the subjects of history, culture and tourism attended by Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin, Moldova's Minister of Culture and Tourism Arthur Kozma and Government representatives from Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Turkey and others.

Sofia city hall and its tourism council, Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, Bulgarian Association of Tourist Agencies and other sector associations are partnering the event.
